Class News: Jacqueline Duran

Jacqueline Duran reports in from NY, NY. "My new career is underway. On August 25th, I graduated from the Danbury Hospital School of Surgical Technology (a.k.a. as a scrub in the operating room, assisting surgeons with procedures)." Jacqueline started work at Norwalk Hospital in September.

Jacqueline's twins, Zoë Zane and Noah John, 10, attend a progressive arts based school in Soho "where I had spent most of my free time up until this last year as a fundraiser and volunteer." "Zoë is on the swimming team at the Y, plays the piano and dances. Noah is on the hockey travel team, plays soccer, baseball and plays the guitar. Having them has created a renewed view of the world filled with endless possibilities and an uncontrollable desire to be silly and laugh."

"Monique McClure '82 and I spend time together with our children especially in the summer at the lake and visiting Amherst together. I'm in touch with Cheryl Harris, and Maritza Cifre Kerekes and Lisa Roberds just to name two of the "Sixers" from Ham Hall. Biteena and Dale recently visited with Monique and we had the opportunity to catch up…I haven't done any recent traveling but one of my favorites was Belize…I also visited Morocco, Rome, and Valencia and Nerja in Spain with an old friend from Hampshire College.

The view from Mt. Holyoke is still amazing. I had to take my twins there. For my recent birthday present friends flew me in their small four seater plane over the Connecticut River Valley and again I was able to see Mt. Holyoke and the view from it. It was still as breathtaking as the first time I saw it at MHC." I'm looking forward to seeing my MHC friends at our 25th reunion."
